Sayonara 2014, Hashimashi 2015!!

Hello everyone! Jenny here!

It is now 2015? I still can't believe it. 2014 has been a fantastic year and it has just passed by so quickly. I had such a fun year so this blog post is dedicated to all of the things I did in 2014!!

I celebrated New Year's Eve with my roommates from university and we all decided to go into town into one of the clubs. I had such a good time and everyone we saw were all so lovely and friendly. I feel like the air changes when it comes to New Year and everyone is suddenly friendly.
I wish this kind of thing happened all the time! But I had a great night and I hope everyone else did too!

A lot of great things happened in 2014! In January it was my 20th birthday and even though only a small number of friends attended I still had a great night with them all and I hope we can continue to be friends for many years to come. A lot of them were people I met at university but when we all head home when we graduate I hope we still keep in contact.

I joined the music society at university and met some cool new people who had the same passion and tastes in music as I did. I then collaborated with a friend of mine and we both performed together for the first time and despite some small hiccups we got great feedback. I hope to continue performing with him throughout next year and play at other venues too. I think with music I have progressed a lot with my confidence and my singing. I also released my first solo song J-E-N-N-Y and it made me want to continue doing my own music so I hope I get to do it again this year! I really want to keep doing original music by myself and also with KRP28.

With KRP28 its been a fun journey! We've become stronger as a group I think and we really know what we want to do for next year. I know we'll be releasing new music this year and with the addition of the 2nd generation I am excited to be singing with new people and also making new friends. I also auditioned and joined Sakura Station and became a member of the duo Double S! I am so excited to be expanding into new projects so please wish me luck with my music endeavors.

With my YouTube channel I have come a long way and got to over 300 subscribers. It's not a large number to some people but just to know that over 300 people like to see my singing videos and vlogs make me so happy!! I really want to keep working hard on the channel. I also want to collaborate with more dubbers because as much as I love singing solo covers its extra fun singing with other people who enjoy it as much as you do!

Last summer I attended my first cosplay convention and I loved the event so much I plan on going there again this spring or summer. They're having two events this year so I hope to attend one of the events. And I want to get the courage to sign up for the talent contest and perform in front of other cosplayers. I dressed in a seifuku last year but this year I really want to do a cosplay! I really want to cosplay Ayumi or Tohko from Corpse Party!

I also have aspirations in terms of travelling this year. Right now I am saving up for a place to live after I leave university. I love the independence to living by myself so I really want to have my own place to call my own. However, I also want to go to Japan next summer so I need to save up money for that too. I am torn between what I want to do but I don't know if I'll have another opportunity to go to Japan after this year. After I leave university this year I want to take a year out to go travelling and Japan is the main place I want to go. Then after a year I then want to start training to be a teacher because I really want to become a Drama teacher and I want to do it hand in hand with acting as well.

This year I will be graduating from university as much as I am excited to be going through this last year, I also don't want it to end. I won't miss the strenuous essays of course, but I'm going to miss performing every week and taking part in other people's projects. I'm excited for my Final Year Project in which I will be running my own theatre show like its a professional show. It's a scary thing to do but at the same time I am excited because I want to pursue acting on the stage. I'm doing an original play based on Henry VIII so I hope a lot of people enjoy the show and also learn a lot too!

There's a lot of scary and exciting things coming my way! But I want to ride them like a rollercoaster and enjoy the ups and downs as they come. I want to capture as many memories in 2015 as I did in 2014. Last year was really a good year for me and I had so many good memories that they outshone the bad and I hope the same happens for 2015!

I hope everything you wish for comes true this year. Just keep smiling. And true happiness will come to you!! ;D

Thank you so much for reading! Happy New Year!
Love Jenny
